Overall achievements

Thanks to the project were created three green areas and a mini educational garden, with high floristic biodiversity; this was to allow the annual survival of pollinators, especially bees. The design of the areas was made following a scientific research on the nectar yield, pollen and seasonality of the various types of trees. 28 different types of plants were planted , for a total of 320 seedlings. Were sent to all supporters of the project 20 and 40 g sachets containing 15 types of honey seeds. The monitoring of green areas by the Department of Biology of the University of produced a scientific report on the presence of pollinating insects before and after the creation of green areas. Finally, training days open to the public (30 people) were organized in the areas created, in which the project was exhibited and indications were given on the importance of insect biodiversity and ways to become Citizen Science to continue voluntarily to take care of these areas.
