Summary of the project
The project “EcoVida – Roadmap for Sustainable Consumption” aims to promote sustainable consumption in the municipality of Covilhã, giving visibility to the already existing local initiatives and sensitizing to the advantages of this consumption for the people, for the surrounding territory and for the planet. To achieve this, a Sustainable Consumption Roadmap will be created in Covilhã to give visibility to existing initiatives promoting sustainable consumption; an awareness-raising campaign will be promoted to encourage local producers and sellers to adopt more sustainable practices in their activities through the use of a Sustainability Assessment Questionnaire and a “Sustainable Trade” Award; a public campaign for sustainable consumption will be developed; a website and a video on sustainable consumption will be created in Covilhã, where the Road Map will be included; and a public event will be held with a Trade Fair and conferences on sustainable consumption initiatives.

Overall achievements
The project “EcoVida – Roadmap for Sustainable Consumption” aimed to promote sustainable consumption in the municipality of Covilhã, giving visibility to the local initiatives and sensitizing to the advantages of local consumption. Twenty five potential initiatives were identified; a “Network of Local Actors for Responsible Consumption” was created; a diagnostic tool to evaluate the sustainability degree of producers, shops and organizations was implemented; sixteen initiatives received the “EcoVida stamp” for good practices related with local consumption and environmental sustainability; markets and a conference were organized and a roadmap was created in a digital platform. The action reached 204 people and 10 CSOs, 11.700 people online.
